A TOPIC!!

I finally have a topic to discuss! THAT is news in itself.

Now...as for my topic, I have a few things to say to those who have reason to spend any time in a clinic or doctor's office - so, this is to basically everyone. My suggestions: #1: When you call a physician's office to make an appointment, please take into account what you are going to the doctor for and then TELL THE APPOINTMENT STAFF why you are making the appointment, and #2 STICK TO THAT REASON when you pay your doctor this visit. Why you ask? I'll tell you why. Way before you ever decided to visit the doctor's office, some fairly smart folks that get paid for thinking of ways to make money decided that certain visits for certain reasons take a certain amount of time and conversely, the visitor is charged for that block of time. Here's a newsflash: There are other people there waiting to see the doctor after you do. Ever had to sit in a clinic waiting room for an hour to see the doctor? THIS IS WHY. The nurses in these clinics get paid (and I'm here to tell you it's NEVER enough) for taking care of infinite things the doctors want done, and one of those things is to keep them on schedule. Patients...the ones who make an appointment for a pain in the foot and decide between the time the appointment is made and the time the doctor walks in the room that "well, now that you're here, I'm having chest pain lately" (and you know who you are) make this impossible.

Thank you for your consideration.

Now...discuss.
